Ends and New Beginnings.

I started my first blog back in 2005. These past seven years have been absolutely amazing as well as unbearably painful, and blogging about it have certainly helped ease some of that pain. I've met wonderful people, felt a lot less lonely, like I was a part of something.

It's been pretty great. But now it's time to focus on being a part of something out here, away from the screen. Thank you so, so much for sharing this experience with me! I wish you all the best. (You know, good health, a great sex life, well-behaved children, all that stuff.)

Take care, be good and kind to yourselves (and preferably to others, too) and don't waste time on crap you're not really passionate about. Oh, and always treat cats with love and respect. Do not insult them. They hold grudges.

Warning! Non-cat lovers - do not scroll down!

This is Magnus. He is the one looking after all the pretty horses.

In case you didn't know, I happen to think cats are The Best. Especially Biianka and Baryshnik, a.k.a. those two fluffy ones in 23 out of the 25 photos in this post. My love for them is absolutely ridiculous and overwhelming, every minute of every day.

Well, almost. I'd say my love for Bii is pretty much constant, while the amount of affection I feel for Baz is temporarily reduced each time he wakes me and Ronnie up somewhere in between 4 and 5:30 in the morning by chewing on our toes, scratching our hands, climbing up the window blinds and making heavy and/or fragile objects on our bedside tables fall to the floor. (He's not being mean, he's just incredibly excited to get his day started.) This, unfortunately, happens every single morning. No exceptions.

Ronnie and I take turns getting out of bed, feeding the cats their breakfast and letting them out; Ronnie's always able to fall back asleep, while I usually manage to be both insanely tired and wide awake at the same time. Most mornings, this means I spend around four hours in bed before it's time to get up, googling super important stuff on my iphone. Like... what kind of gravel we should get for our driveway and how to get the best results when painting old windows. And then I get to enjoy a nice and not at all annoying sleep deprivation-induced headache the rest of the day.

I've said it before and I'll probably say it a hundred times: That cat is very, very lucky he's so darn adorable.
