Yesterday I needed to take a new byline photo for a magazine, so I dragged myself outside and got it over with. I figured that since I was out anyway, I could just as well snap some shot of this "outfit". I'm not sure it deserves to be called that - to me, an outfit indicates a certain process of thought. This is more like the clothes I put on, probably beacuse they were at the top of one of the many, many piles of clothing spread out around the house. Consciously or not, I felt pretty cute and cozy in all that knit.
Now I'm off to see my psychologist for the last time. I decided the kind of psychotherapy she practices isn't for me, at least not right now, and next week I'm going back to CBT instead. I'm really nervous that she'll be upset with me for quitting after only two months, or feel insulted that I don't think our sessions are helping me... But I realize I can't keep doing it just to keep her happy. Christ, I'm not that messed up!
I love the kitties in the background! You look great.

ReplyDeleteYou are really beautiful!
ReplyDeleteamazing swetaer:) be strong girl!
ReplyDeleteI like the lip colour you used. You should experiment more often! But you look lovely as always :)
ReplyDeleteYou're not messed up at all! You just happen to have a problem, and I'm sure that you'll overcome it! :)
ReplyDeleteAnd with this hat, you look like a playful pixie ;)
Best wishes,
Agata
I love that sweater! And good for you actually knowing the different types of therapy. So many people avoid therapy because they don't know about CBT and don't get the help they need. Therapy is such a journey, and you've always got to test the waters with one therapist before deciding if it's a good fit or not. Good luck!

ReplyDeleteI've had CBT too! Haha, though I don't think that's a thing you typically share.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure your psychologist will understand. They are there to make sure you get better and if it's not working for you, then they should be able to recommend you to someone who can. Or have you asked if you can switch to that therapy with your current therapist.
I really hope you get better. It's so nice knowing that you're so open with your depression. I know you mentioned in an earlier post that your depression isn't actually from anything. So I'm guessing it's just purely chemical.
Do you have problems trying to tell people that? I'm the same way and they just don't seem to get it.
I'm honestly so glad you blog. Thank you for being so amazing.

At one second I got afraid that Baryshnik and Bianka might get ran over by a car. But then I realized you're living on the countryside so there's probably not much cars passing by. So they're free to roam along the road. Hehe. You're right that you need not continue your therapy if you think it's not working for you anymore. At the end it's only you who can determine which works and which doesn't. <3
ReplyDeleteI was thinking of going through CBT myself, but I have always felt the concept of it is too simple to actually work. I would love to hear about your experience. Hope it goes well with the present therapist. Take care of yourself!

smiles & a sunshine outside a yellow house. kitties in the background, leaves on the ground, & a cozy hat with sweater. smart of you to know what is true for you, & making the best decision based on that. the other day i was looking at outfits on chictopia. i said oh, i like the photo. i clicked on it, & then said, ha-ha, it's annika.
ReplyDeletesometimes you look like supermodel Snejana Onopka:)
ReplyDeleteYou look gorgeous! And comfy, which makes sense since you just threw some clothes on...but comfy is good! Nice and warm ;)
ReplyDeleteI hope that CBT goes well for you, and that things get better :)

I think CBT is one of the best therapies around, there's no need to dig deep in the childhood every time someone has a problem or use other weird therapy methods. Hope you'll feel better.
ReplyDeleteOooh gosh :) you look so pretty and so healthy! this is probably one my favourite outfits of yours: super simple, comfy and cuute. take care, have a nice day.
ReplyDeletehonestly, stop worrying about everything, because you're complicating things.. if you would just see the things for what they really are, everything would be so much easier(not meant to be hurtful, really, it's just that I kind of think about you as a friend .. omg, that sound soo funny and weird and awkward, but hey.. I don't mind).
Love, Reni :)
you do look immensely cute! :D
ReplyDeletewish you find a way to get help, sweetie! WISH you all the strength in theworld <3

Such beautiful photos! You look amazing, and the beanie is so cute!!! Love the makeup on you :-)
I like this outfit:) It's simple and look very comfy. And it's perfect for this natural scenery. Beautiful place to live!
ReplyDeleteI hope you will feel better with the CBT. You seem to be really wonderfull person!
Greets from Poland:)
your "clothes that you put on" are better than most of my "outfits"! :) you look absolutely lovely, as always xx
ReplyDeleteTotally beutiful smiling Annika!! Doesn´t matter if the phsycologist get upset ( Im sure she wont ) You go wherever you feel to. <3
ReplyDeleteWOWWWWWW!!!
ReplyDeleteI am in love with your blog!
Your smile on the first photo is the best! :)
ReplyDeleteThe outfit looks so cozy ! It's definitely something simple and totally wearable. And I'm sure you didn't have to take of your coat, take the snaps really quicly and freeze to the bones when you took these photos. Because that's what usually happens, when I take outfit photos. The light outside is always perfect, but for that I have to take off my coat and sweater and .. uughh .. The point is that you seem warm and happy in these pictures :)
