Some things just can't wait.



It's past midnight, and I've officially made it through another year. No 27 Club for me. Pheeew! When I went to the grocery store earlier tonight - a three minute drive - I was sure a car would come crashing into me at any second, or that a meteor would fall on my head, or that I'd slip on some wet leaves and break my neck or something just as random and unnecessary. I could even see my mom yelling at the doctors at the hospital; "she can't be dead! It's her birthday, you can't let her die on her birthday!". Yeah, I know, I've been watching way too much Grey's Anatomy. Way, way, way too much. But still, would have been pretty ironic, don't you think?


Anyway, that didn't happen - big yay for that! It's now 1 a.m., and 28 years have passed since I was born. Happy Halloween to all of you, and Happy Birthday to me. Let's wish for 28 more!

    Jag vill bara upplysa dig om att du skall vara förbaskeligen glad över att jag ej befunnit mig i din närhet i dag. För om så varit fallet hade jag givit dig en rejäl grabbdunk i ryggen var femte minut (helst samtidigt som du druckit, och därmed förvandlat dig till en trimmad horisontalfontän), samt utbasunerat med morsk stämma: "I dag, Annika Marklund, i dag är det DIN dag!" Därefter hade jag nypt dig i kinden, skjutit över ett mynt och fortsatt: "Här får du en slant, och med den får du göra precis VAD DU VILL, för det är DIN DAG I DAG! Du bestämmer helt själv om du vill cykla ned till tobakshandlaren och köpa bravokola, eller om du vill sätta in slanten på banken och spara den, för DET ÄR DIN DAG I DAG!" Vid några enstaka tillfällen hade jag nog även bjudit på en Werther's original. Eller en Riesen. Eller en Toffifee. Eller en Merci. Det du.

    But since I'm here and you're so far away får jag helt enkelt nöja mig med ett gammalt hederligt: Grattis på bemärkelsedagen, Annika. Jag hoppas att du under ditt tjugoåttonde år finner en vardag med färre bekymmer, men desto mer glädje. Du förtjänar det bättre än någon annan.

    P.S. Ibland, oftast på helger, brukar min katt väcka mig tidigt. Hon väntar alltid tills jag har gnuggat sömnen ur ögonen. Då sträcker hon fram en Riesen, ler vagt och muttrar dovt ur ena mungipan: "Here's one Riesen... One Riesen to KILL YOU!!!!!!!" Det börjar bli så sjukt irriterande. D.S.

Men jag var tydligen ingen rockstar... ;) Du hade en så sjukt snygg lugg på en bild i ett tidigare inlägg och så läste jag att det var en löslugg! haha sjukt kul.
