Annika according to Nicol.
Nicol SepĂșlveda is a physiotherapist from Chile, who also happens to be an absolutely incredibly talanted artist. You should definitely visit her blog and check out all of her beautiful drawings - you'll recognize plenty of your favorite fashion bloggers! I'm so very honored to be one of the people who have inspired her art. Having my photos painted is such a strange and fascinating feeling - it's sort of like my outfit photos now have lives of their own!
The outfits portrayed in Nicol's drawings can be found here, here, here and here.
(When I went through my Lookbook posts to find the ones behind the drawings, I was honestly stunned by the enormous amount of outfit photos I took last summer. How on Earth did I do that?! I must have spent a thousand hours on this blog, no, a billion! At least I have a lot of pretty pictures to show my future grandchildren... They'll be like, "grandma, didn't you have a life when you were young? Oh - and can you spell 'narcissist'?")

My Favorite Girls.
Hmmm... I'm wondering if Amanda needs to borrow money or something. Why else would she flatter her big sister with this beautiful drawing? Huh?
(Well, baby, I don't really have a lot of money at the moment - what a surprise, right - but you can borrow all the clothes you want! And thank you for the portrait - it's amazing.)
You know, I'm one lucky girl. I don't just have one wonderful sister, but two. And it looks like I'll be celebrating Christmas this year with both of them! This might not sound like a big deal at all to you, but for me, it's huge. Wendi (who lives with our dad in Los Angeles) has only been to Sweden once before, last summer, and I can't wait to show her our dark, freezing cold and yet quite spectacular Swedish winter! Just the thought of spending the holidays with both my favorite girls... it's a pure blessing.

The American Woman says HAPPY BIRTHDAY, USA!
Yeah, yeah. So it might be twenty past midnight here. But who cares? It's still 4th of July in A-H-M-E-R-I-C-A-H. And today, that's all that matters!
Since I'm such a bad American citizen, I didn't celebrate our Independence Day at all. I could at least have watched the movie Independence Day. Or maybe Team America: World Police. Anything with the United States saving the world, really.
But I didn't.
In my defence, I'm only half American. If my Mom had not been Swedish, I would have worn the outfit above all day long, I promise!
Oh, yeah. My American Woman. Isn't she lovely? I'm very proud of her. I started making just a regular outfit collage, but it was boring me to tears, so I thought: Okay, I need a pretty lady to wear these fabulous American flag print items. So, I drew her, and she turned out to be a terrific model! I'm going to call her Lucy.
Lucy is wearing stars-and-stripes litas from Jeffrey Campbell/Solestruck.com, tank top from Romwe.com, bowtie as hair bow from wildties.com, Runwaydreamz vintage denim shorts from singer22.com, heart-shaped sunglasses from Topshop and socks from an unknown brand. I'm pretty certain both her parents are Americans. She is, that's for sure!
Hope all you yankees out there had a fabulous 4th of July!

Oh the flattery, part 3.
I can hardly believe that the lovely lady who painted these is no older than 14. Fourteen! I'm literally twice her age. Wait a minute... I could be her mother! A young mom, sure, but still. No, no, that doesn't make me feel old at all.
Well, if I did have a 14 year old daughter, I would count myself lucky if she turned out to be half as sweet as Dana.
I'm so tired right now, I can hardly walk in a straight line, much less think of something original to write. I was a guest in a radio show this morning, starting at 7:30, and I barely got any sleep before that. Then I had a doctor's appointment and in a few minutes, I'm going into Stockholm to do a work thing and meet up with a friend. Won't be home until tomorrow morning. But don't worry, I have yesterday's outfit scheduled for you very soon, since an outfit post a day keeps the doctor away (that how it goes, right?).
Talk to you soon!

Oh the flattery, part 2.
Making me blush is not much of a challenge - usually just saying a dirty word will do the trick (yes, I'm still eight years old on the inside). But if you really want to make my face go as red as a firetruck, you should definitely paint my portrait. I consider being the inspiration for a painting or drawing such an honor that when it happens, I go from the palest girl in Europe to miss Tomatoe Face in two seconds and start to stutter and mumble and have to hide behind my hair.
I got this beautiful drawing sent to me by the talented Mari from Moscow. (Luckily, she couldn't see me go scarlet when I opened the file - thank God for the geographic distance between Sweden and Russia!) She was inspired by this outfit post (especially this photo), and I think she did such an amazing job! She even captured the fact that my skirt was actually a folded-down dress - now that's having an eye for detail. You can see more of her beautiful drawings on her blog!
(The last time I had the honor of being drawn, the beautiful result looked like this.)
