A Sneak Peak.

Yesterday I photographed the content of my make up bag, and I'll tell you, I was shocked by the amount of lipsticks inside! It sure is a good thing that the ones I use the most only cost about 2 euro each.

Sometime during the next few days I'll write a post where I go through all of the products, as a light introduction to the make up tutorials I'm trying to build up the courage to get started with... I'm still not sure I'll ever be brave enough to speak English on camera. What if you laugh at my accent? You will! I've been told it's like 50% Sviiiidish and 50% Valley Girl. "It's like, I'm like, oh my gaaawd!" Come to think about it, maybe I should just stick to photos... We'll see.

  1. Baby don't worry, ok? I'm sure you have an awesome accent, and even if you haven't WHO THE HELL CARES? And who is good enough to judge, huh? NO. Don't let others bring you down, beautiful, ok?

  2. Wow a lot of lipsticks! I just have one -- but many years to build up the collection and learn what suits me. And as a Scandinaviophile (is that a word?) I'd love to hear you talk in a video. I love Swedish accents!

  3. I think Swedish accents are so amazing, and French, and German. I like all European accents really--lots of my friends have parents who are from various other countries, mainly in Europe, and their accents are lovely.
As of yet, I own... no lipstick.

  5. Oh I totally understand the "speaking english on camera"...had the same problem and talked in my mother language. BUT I felt "weirder" talking in my mother language than in english...does that even makes sense?
    I love the lipsticks btw...:)

  7. love your lipstick collection! i'm glad your favourite ones only cost about 2€ each :) i always thought you're lipsticks look so beautiful and i thought they are always like chanel or something!

don't be ashamed about your accent. that really doesn't matter and i'm sure everyone will agree. be proud of your accent, because it showes where you're coming from, and you always should be proud of were you're coming from, certainly because you're coming from this wonderful country sveden! furthermore i think your english is nearly perfect, when i read your posts! don't worry, i'm sure no one will ever blame you if you make some mistakes or have an accent!

i also think scandinavian accents sound so cute! in english and in german too, because i've got lots of friends coming from sveden or mostly from denmark!
it's not like this loser-german-accent, i think! that is something to be ashamed of, but i don't care :):)

i would be glad to see a tutorial from you, lovely annika!

  9. Haha, everyone here probably thinks that his/her own accent is the worst one ever ("loser-german-accent", hmm, Natassja? :) haha)- and I'm sure I don't have to add that the number one most hideous accent, according to me, is, dumdumdum... DUTCH! It's really bad. There's even an actual word for the use of English by Dutch people: Dunglish. We're really good at literally translating Dutch proverbs, leaving the people we've spoken to in complete shock (or at least with a funny story to tell their friends). A few examples: "May I thank your cock ['kok' in Dutch] for the lovely dinner?" or "How do you do and how do you do your life?"

    Oh, the shame...

  10. wow, your collection is really big. I could even say that's HUGE because mine has inside only 3 lipsticks. It'so sad! But I'm going to buy a new one :)

And btw - dont be ashamed, I'm sure your voice is as beautiful as your face. I cant look forward to see and hear some tutorials! You're so talented Annika, believe in it, because it's the truth.

  12. And I have a little accent, too! Frenchish from my dad's side. When I try to speak in an American accent, everyone's like, NO, don't lose the accent. It's so cute and unique! I'm sure yours is the same! P.S. Some girl from high school I don't even remember fired off a hate mail to me about my modeling...No wonder it's just been so, so awesome to find someone like you who has the courage to be YOURSELF. Don't ever be afraid of that! You have inspired so many people!!!
    Much much love,
    Izzy

  15. Aww, now that you mentioned your accent, I definitely want to see some video tutorials! (Swedish accents are really easy on the ears, I think.)

I'm in such desperate need for more lip colours. Now you've inspired me to get off my lazy butt and look around! (Too bad it's 11 at night and the mall is closed...)
